'Episode #14 - Brad Frankel and Fearghal O'Nuallain: Flooglebinder, sustainable travel and the coolest geography teacher in the country?

This week, John spoke to Brad Frankel from Flooglebinder about the company's history and his views on sustainable tourism and also to Fearghal O'Nuallain, once dubbed the 'UK's coolest teacher' about his journey to becoming a geography teacher and his new book The Kindness of Strangers.'

The latter's book includes stories from places that are often explored with pupils at Key Stages 1 and 2.  Accomplished travellers and adventurous souls, such as Sarah Outen, Benedict Allen, Ed Stafford and Al Humphreys, have completed daring journeys through challenging terrain, adventuring from the Calais Jungle to the Amazon, from Land’s End to the Gobi Desert, from New Guinea to Iran and many other places in between.  Each individual has a story to tell of a time when they were vulnerable and in need and a kind stranger came to their rescue.  The book may also inject some light and hope in these rather challenging and unprecedented times; looking towards a future when we are free to travel more widely and able to appreciate the diverse nature of our planet.
