Primary Newsbites: September 2022

Introduction

The first of our new Primary Newsbites is now available to view. It is intended that Primary Newsbites will be created on a monthly basis by Alan Parkinson and Emma Espley and provide bespoke suggestions for primary colleagues. These will include:

  • ideas for resources
  • information about events and how to become involved in them
  • details of competitions
  • suggestions for podcasts to listen to
  • a Book of the Month
  • some Twitter and other social media accounts of interest.

 

The newsletter will be supplemented by other items that will appear in the primary section of the website.

Alan Parkinson
Teacher/Author

Alan is a teacher at King’s Ely Junior. He is a Primary Geography Champion, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Chartered Geographer.

Emma Espley

Author/Consultant

Emma is an experienced Teacher of Geography and now Freelance Author and Consultant.  She established and steers a Primary Humanities Network, is a Consultant to the GA, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Chartered Geographer.

Contribute

Our aim is to promote geography and geographical education in the South West of England. Geography SW is a collaborative project driven by a group of enthusiastic geographers who have volunteered their time to create a wide-ranging and dynamic resource to support the wider geographical community.
