Heddon's Mouth, Exmoor

Introduction

This short circular walk of 2.2 miles is along a  flat, well-surfaces path, and takes in a stunning section of the South West Coast Path. It includes woodland views, ice age scree slopes, and a visit to a sheltered pebble beach at Heddon’s Mouth. If you want a bit more exercise, the walk can be extended along the south west coast path to Woody Bay, making a total journey of around 5 and a half miles. This walk has the advantage of a nice pub at the end that serves a decent pint of beer.
